Description: Cooling off at Shijo. Kyoto restaurants set wooden benches in the shallow water where patrons could sit and refresh themselves. Here a young waitress relaxes at the end of the day, dangling her foot in the water. Her rumpled clothes give an innocent intimacy to the print.
